Joan loves to create and has moved between illustration, design, stop motion animation, and fine art. She has illustrated and written numerous books for children and volunteered with schools and summer camps, engaging kids with art and animation.

Having earned a BA from Eastern Oregon University and a BFA in Graphic Design/Illustration from Oregon State University, she is delighted and thankful to have spent her whole career in the arts.
